India Covid update: 28,591 new Covid cases, 14% lower than yesterday

<p>With a single-day rise of 28,591 cases, Indias Covid&nbsp;tally climbed to nearly 3.32 crore on Sunday, the new cases are 14% lower compared to Saturday.</p> <p>The death toll due to the viral disease shot up to over 4.42 lakh with 338 more people succumbing to it, the Union health ministry said.</p> <p>At 3,84,921, active cases constitute 1.16% of total cases, while the national Covid&nbsp;recovery rate stands at 97.51%.&nbsp;</p> <p>The daily positivity rate,which has been less than 3 per cent for the last 13 days, now stands at 1.87%. The weekly positivity rate was recorded at 2.17%.
