Henna Khan (Zeba Bakhtiar) is a gypsy girl living near the river Jhelum in Pakistan with her family. One day she comes across an injured man by the river-bank. Henna’s family nurses him back to health, only to find that he has lost his memory. The man keeps crying 'Chand' in his sleep and everyone starts calling him by that name. Henna falls in love with him and the family decides to get them married, which displeases Shahbaaz Khan (Raza Murad), who wants to marry Henna himself. Chand regains his memory, and the tribe learns that he’s neither Muslim nor a Pakistani, and mistake him for an Indian spy. Will Chand be able to prove his innocence, find his way back to his family in India, and return to the lover he left behind?
