The World Anti-Doping Agency has suspended India’s National Dope Testing Laboratory for another 6 months for not conforming to international standards. WADA had suspended the New-Delhi based lab in August last year after a site visit and had prohibited it from carrying out anti-doping activities, including all analyses of urine and blood samples. WADA in a statement said that if the laboratory satisfies their Laboratory Expert Group by addressing the issues, it may apply for an early reinstatement but a failure to do so could lead to another similar suspension. The Indin lab though also has the option to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport against WADAs decision.
