Underworld don Dholakia (Kiran Kumar) has a strange way of caring for his daughter Sapna (Amisha Patel). To protect her from his enemies he virtually imprisons her in his house. While running some errands, however, she is attacked by some gangsters and a young college guy named Rohit (Hrithik Roshan) rescues her. Their chance encounters from time to time draw them closer to each other. But Sapna's tyrannical father arranges her marriage with his friend's son and he can't tolerate the fact that she has already chosen someone else.
