Mera Damad

Two old friends, Sitanath (Utpal Dutt) and Ajit Khanna (Ashok Kumar) decide to get their children married. Khanna asks his son Jai (Farooq Sheikh) to meet Sitanath’s daughter. Jai then sets off to meet his potential future wife. On reaching Sitanath's residence, Jai is told that he is in the wrong village and is redirected to a mansion owned by an eccentric man. Jai decides to stay there for one night before heading back. While there, he meets Kimi (Zarina Wahab), the daughter of the mansion-owner, and ends up falling in love with her. How will Jai communicate his decision to his father and how will the families react to this breach of trust?
