Free-spirited Prem (Ranbir Kapoor), falls in love with Jenny (Katrina Kaif), but she is in search of her college sweetheart, Rahul (Upen Patel). Prem goes to great lengths to reunite the two. However, two days before the wedding, Jenny is kidnapped. Prem, rescues her but lets Rahul take credit for it. Rahul, and his father, who's running for elections, tell the media that they're the ones who helped in the capture of the notorious criminal. Will Jenny marry Rahul? Will she ever know how selflessly Prem loves her?
