Maharaj Chitrasen of Madanpur is a kind king deeply in love with a charming and spirited young woman Chandrasena. While they wish to get married, Chandrasena's strict father Sardar Malojirao does not agree to their union. He plans to take Chandrasena to Gujarat and forcefully marry her off to a rich king over there. Two loyal servants of the palace and the Pradhanji of Madanpur decide to help the couple get married. Problem arises when King Chitrasen starts getting suspicious of Chandrasena having an affair with Pradhanji.
