Two siblings, Radha (Smita Patil) and Ramu (Mithun Chakraborty), lose their parents and their house in a single day, thanks to the cruelty inflicted by a lecherous sponsor of their show, A. M. Singh (Amrish Puri). With perseverance, they grow up to become popular performers and get married to their respective lovers. But when Radha dies due to domestic violence, Ramu takes to alcohol, until he comes across A. M. Singh in the same town.
