Dev (Aamir Khan), a casanova and an ambitious painter in debt, agrees to marry the daughter of a wealthy tycoon. A music teacher Priya (Manisha Koirala) on the other hand, is about to marry a man who’s been there for her in times of adversity. However, when Priya and Dev meet on a cruise, they fall head over heels in love with each other.
