Chandrika (Juhi Chawla), a documentary film maker, soughts to capture the prison life of three men sentenced to death. Accountant Nagender (Nagesh Kukunoor) allegedly pushed his wife on the road who then got run over by a car. Petty thief Ishaan (Naseeruddin Shah) accidentally shot a pregnant woman during a bank robbery. Lawyer Jagdish (Jackie Shroff) took the life of his cheating wife. Out of the three, only Jagdish's crime was premeditated. Nagender denies committing the crime, while Ishaan plots to escape the prison. But Chandrika's arrival changes the lives of the three men, as well as her own, for better or for worse.
