Synopsis

A Delhi based, liberal-thinker Anuradha Sehgal, hates politicians. Circumstances force her to re-locate to Mumbai, finds a job, and later, meets and enters into wedlock with the state's aspiring CM, Vivek Chauhan. She soon realizes that Vivek's family is multi-faced, while Vivek himself is an alcoholic and a womanizer; Anuradhas's movements are monitored and restricted by Vivek. She soon starts facing physical abuse from her husband. Things change when Vivek is arrested for murder and imprisoned. The Chauhans force her to take over Vivek's place for the upcoming elections, which she does. She starts witnessing the links between the businessmen, underworld, corrupt politicians and policemen. She realizes that her life is not only threatened by outsiders, but also her conservative in-laws who suspect her of having an affair with Yeshwant Vardhe, the party's intellectual guru who guides her to reach on the top.
