Bhoot is an urban supernatural thriller set in the Mumbai city. Vishal (Ajay Devgn), a married stock analyst is in search of a flat for him and his wife, Swati (Urmila Matondkar). He finds the perfect place in a high rise apartment building. But the flat has a problem- the previous occupant, a young woman had plunged to death from the balcony. Sceptical Vishal does not let the fact affect his decision to move in, but also doesn't mention it to Swati. Eventually, Swati finds out the truth and starts to lose sleep over it. She begins to see things and gets distressed. What Vishal thinks is a psychological problem begins to unravel into unexplainable mystery. Now in order to save his marriage, Vishal must reach out and find the horrifying truth behind the death of the previous resident of the flat.
