Firaaq

Inspired from the 2002 violence in Gujarat, this drama follows the lives of different people directly or indirectly affected by the riots, from a compassionate woman in an orthodox Gujarati family living with a stone-hearted husband, an urban cross-culture couple with a Hindu wife and a Muslim husband, a poor Muslim couple whose house is charred to ashes during the riots to an old Muslim singer. As their stories unfold and intertwine, we see the harrowing picture of the repercussions of violence in society.
