Chennabasappa, the managing director of an engineering firm decides to sell of his ancestral land in the village after he gets a good offer from an industrialist. Chennabasappa's decision upsets Baswa, the farmer on his land as he has been working tirelessly to grow fruits and vegetables on that land for all his life. After Chennabasappa goes back to his home in the city, he finds out that his daughter Uma, has started acting weird and is hurling abusing and creating a ruckus everyday at home.
