Jhuk Gaya Aasman' is the story of a poor tourist guide from Darjeeling, Sanjay (Rajendra Kumar) who falls in love with a traveler, Priya (Saira Banu). When she comes to know that her father has been arrested, she returns home to bail him out. Meanwhile, Sanjay meets with an accident and dies. The angel responsible realises that he has killed Sanjay by mistake and offers to put his soul in the body of his doppelganger, the one who was supposed to die in the first place. The doppelgänger, however, happens to be a deadly criminal. After acquiring the criminal's body, Sanjay decides to undo his illicit actions, while also struggling to convince Priya of his true identity.
