Amit (Aamir Khan), the kind-hearted son of a taxi driver and Reema (Juhi Chawla), the daughter of a rich businessman are college-mates who fall head over heels in love with each other. But Reema has another unruly suitor Vicky (Gulshan Grover) who would stop at nothing to claim her. Reema's father too wants her to marry Vicky, the son of a dangerous gangster he is indebted to. With her father's blessings in place, Vicky has nothing to fear. This passionate and forbidden love story is chock-full of drama, rivalry, action, exciting college life and upbeat music.
