Kailash Nath (Alok Nath) is the manager of a bank who lives a comfortable lifestyle with his wife and son. He is fond of the bank watchman, Shankar (Kiran Kumar), so much so that he arranges the engagement of his son with Shankar's daughter, Sanam (Manisha Koirala). All’s well until the bank gets robbed and Kailash is arrested for and sentenced for 12 years.
