Born with a silver spoon, Lata (Sridevi) doesn’t agree to an arranged marriage with an affluent suitor who happens to be the son of her father’s business partner. In an act of defiance, she runs away from home and chances upon a truck driver named Vishwa (Mithun Chakraborty). After her father locates her, she refuses to return home and insists on marrying Vishwa.
