A wicked man Harichand fakes his own death and writes a love letter to his millionaire employer Jamuna Devi, asking her to take care of his son after his death. The letter is read out to Jamuna Devi in the presence of her husband Rana. Rana loses his cool after hearing about the supposed affair and accuses Jamuna Devi of bearing Harichand's child. He takes off with their own son forever. Struck with grief, Jamuna Devi brings up Harichand's child Kailash, who grows up to be a spendthrift brat. Jamuna Devi wills half her wealth to her friend's daughter Neeta and hopes to get Kailash married to her. The other half of her wealth is willed in the name of her missing son. But Neeta is soon pursued by three bachelors, one of whom is eying her wealth, one is lying to her and one might just be Jamuna Devi's missing son.
