Dr. Kotnis Ki Amar Kahani

Inspired from the real life of Dr. Dwarkanath Kotnis, “Dr. Kotnis Ki Amar Kahani” is the story of an idealistic doctor who is moved after hearing Jahawarlal Nehru's speech about the sufferings of Chinese people at the hands of Japanese invaders. As soon as he completes his medical studies, Dr. Kotnis decides not to set up his practice in India and instead, goes to China with four more doctors in 1938 as a part of a medical mission. Together, they do exemplary work in the foreign land where Dr. Kotnis also falls in love with a Chinese nurse initially masquerading as a man.
