Manisha is the lone child of a rich widower, Barrister Vikas Anand. Manisha gets introduced to Ajay, a fellow classmate. Initially, after a few disagreements, they both fall in love with each other. Ajay is introduced to Manisha's dad, who approves of Manisha's choice, but Ajay informs him of his inability to marry Manisha, as he needs time to settle and be able to afford all the luxuries of life. He asks for three years to accumulate enough money. An impressed Vikas agrees to wait, subsequently Manisha too agrees. Ajay is always in touch with Manisha and updates her of his achievements. However, after three years, Ajay vanishes. Her friend tries to prove to Manisha that Ajay has married someone else. What would have forced Ajay to not keep up his promise to Manisha and her dad?
