Bakr-Id (or Eid al-Adha) is a festival of sacrifice, celebrated with special prayers, and exchange of greetings and gifts. Muslims don new clothes and attend open-air prayer meetings during Id-ul-Zuha. They may sacrifice a sheep or goat and share the meat with family members, neighbors and the poor. It is ensured that everyone, rich or poor, enjoys a rich non-vegetarian celebratory meal during this day.
