Synopsis
Govinda’s journey from a modest beginning to becoming one of Bollywood’s most beloved stars is truly inspiring. His father, Arun Ahuja, was an actor-producer and his mother, Nirmala Devi, a classical singer and actress. They faced financial hardships after his father’s film production failed and the family had to sell off their bungalow on Carter Road in Mumbai and move to Virar, a distant suburb. Govinda, often referred to as "Chi Chi" by his loved ones, had to overcome numerous obstacles to carve a niche for himself in Bollywood. After completing graduation, he started auditioning for roles while juggling the challenges of living far from the city’s glamorous film studios. He even worked on his dancing and acting skills by watching films and practising tirelessly. And his efforts paid off as his first 2 releases – ‘Love 86’ and ‘Ilzaam’ were box-office hits. And he soon became the “King of Comedy” with the famous ‘No. 1’ tag, attached to his film titles. SCREEN LEGENDS – Govinda Part 1 celebrates the actor who is known for his impeccable comic timing, energetic dance moves, and relatable persona. The episode becomes all the more special as it releases on 21st December 2024, Govinda’s 61st Birthday. Don’t Miss! Credits :- Produced By :- Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd.
