Synopsis

From his teenage days, Shammi Kapoor loved western music. He used to practise dancing and lip-synching to those songs which helped him immensely after he became an actor. He created his own niche throughout the 1960s amidst the ruling trio of Dilip – Raj – Dev and other emerging stars like Rajendra Kumar and Dharmendra. He silenced his critics with his sensitive performances in ‘Brahmachari’ and ‘Andaaz’. When the Rajesh Khanna wave caught on, he switched to direction and then to strong character roles. A man much ahead of his time, Shammi Kapoor was hooked on to the Internet even before it entered India. He was the founder and chairman of ‘Internet Users Committee of India’ and was very tech-savvy till the end. Screen Legends – Shammi Kapoor Part 2 also throws light on his love life and marriage.
