Synopsis

The Debonair Dev Anand had universal appeal. While girls used to have a huge crush on him, boys used to imitate his style and idolised him. Interestingly, Dev established himself as a stylish romantic hero even though his earler successes were noir crime thrillers. He was the only one from the famous Dilip Kumar – Raj Kapoor – Dev Anand trio who successfully played a hero’s role right through the 70s and early 80s. A man much ahead of his time, Dev played unconventional roles in “Guide” and “Teen Devian” in the 60s, both of which were also made in English.
