Synopsis

‘Yahoo’ Shammi Kapoor revolutionised the image of the Bollywood hero. But he had his fair share of struggle before he became the youth icon. Though he hailed from the Kapoor family, he had to experience challenges like facing the giant trio of Raj-Dev-Dilip on the silver screen, back-to-back flops in his initial days, and an identity crisis for his on-screen image in the beginning. At this juncture, his wife Geeta Bali inspired him to be his real energetic self on screen and following her advise he adopted his idol Elvis Presley’s style in the films directed by Nasir Hussain viz. ‘Tumsa Nahin Dekha’and ‘Dil Deke Dekho’. And soon followed ‘Junglee’ which not only earned him the name of ‘Yahoo’ Shammi Kapoor but also changed his destiny for the better.
