Synopsis

This episode of SCREEN LEGENDS features the legendary actress Nargis who ruled the industry for more almost a decade from 1948 to 1958 before she quit films to focus on her married life. Beginning as a child artiste, Nargis shot to fame with her successful hits with Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor. Especially her screen chemistry with Raj Kapoor was unprecedented. She was the backbone of RK Banner’s initial successes. Part 1 of Nargis covers her interesting journey from birth to 1956 when she decided to stop working with Raj Kapoor. Along with RJ Adaa’s interesting narration, do get treated with landmark scenes from ‘Awara”, “Aag”, “Shree 420”, “Chori Chori” etc.
