Synopsis

Moushumi Chatterjee has always been an unconventional actress who loved to swim against the tide. She entered Hindi films after marriage and became more successful after her first delivery. She managed her career and life on her own terms and never shied away from ‘calling a spade a spade’. As a result, she was often labelled ‘bindaas’ and ‘munh-fat’ by the media and industry folks. Moushumi did lose out on some big banners because of her image but she was unperturbed. On the other hand, she excelled in all the roles she played, whether emotional, romantic or comical. Her sense of humour and comic timing have always been unparalleled. She played the heroine for almost a decade and switched to meaningful character roles after her second daughter was born.
