Synopsis

Reena Roy can be called the most underrated actress of the 1970s & early 80s who acted in more than 100 films. The original ‘Nagin’, Reena Roy rose from humble beginnings in small films and went on to become one of the top heroines of the day, giving stiff competition to Hema Malini, Rekha & Zeenat Aman. The actress who had the guts to refuse a popular award, Reena Roy achieved her success solely on the basis of her talent, dedication and extraordinary dancing skills. And she managed it all without a single romantic lead opposite Amitabh Bachchan in a single film. Reena made her debut at the age of 14 in B R Ishara’s ‘Nai Duniya Naye Log’. With no formal training in acting, Reena was too immature to understand the intricacies of acting. Director B.R. Ishara had a tough time handling her and he predicted that Reena won’t last for more than a year in films. But 1 single hit changed it all and with success, Reena’s outlook too changed for the better.
