Synopsis

Sunny Deol is the eldest son of superstar Dharmendra. Born on October 19, 1956, as Ajay Singh Deol, Sunny carved his niche in Bollywood with his powerful performances and action-packed roles. He went to England and joined the Old Web Theatre in Birmingham, where he studied theatre and acting. He adopted his nickname ‘Sunny’ as his screen-name and was launched by his father Dharmendra in their home production ‘Betaab’ in 1983. He was the third Star-Son to be launched in the early 1980s, after Kumar Gaurav and Sanjay Dutt. Sunny continued making waves with ‘Sohni Mahiwal’, ‘Sunny’, ‘Manzil Manzil’ and soon established his credentials as an intense actor with ‘Arjun’. There was no looking back for him after ‘Ghayal’ and he became known for his iconic dialogue delivery and great acting.
