Synopsis

Madhuri Dixit is widely regarded as one of the most popular actresses in the history of Indian cinema. Her blend of talent, beauty, and charisma has made her an enduring icon in Bollywood. She was born on May 15, 1967, in Mumbai to Shankar Dixit and Snehalata Dixit. She grew up with her two sisters, Rupa and Bharati, and a brother, Ajit. Madhuri learnt Kathak from a young age and her dance training played a significant role in shaping her film career, particularly in her iconic dance performances. She pursued a degree in Microbiology but her passion for dance and acting drew her towards films. She made her acting debut in 1984 with Rajshri Productions’ film "Abodh," but it was her performance in "Tezaab" that made her a household name. SCREEN LEGENDS Madhuri Dixit Part 1 celebrates the journey of the ‘Dhak Dhak Girl’ right from her childhood to her 1st Filmfare award for ‘Dil’ in 1990.
