Synopsis

The 4th Episode of GOLDEN CLASSICS re-visits DEEWANA, the 2nd highest grossing film of 1992. Featuring Rishi Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan and Divya Bharti, the love-triangle owed its success largely to its superhit songs composed by Nadeem Shravan and written by Sameer. No wonder Nadeem-Shravan, Sameer and singer Kumar Sanu were rewarded with Filmfare awards for their work in ‘Deewana’ that year. ‘Deewana’ turned out to be the first release of Shahrukh Khan. His chemistry with the young and fresh Divya Bharti also contributed to the film’s success. Versatile and experienced Rishi Kapoor played the evergreen lover-boy and a matured husband with equal ease. Debutant director Raj Kanwar was blessed with a good ear for music and he shot all the 7 songs beautifully. The Episode is filled with interesting information about the Crew and the Musical team and also throws light on several trivia pieces like who were the first choices for Shahrukh and Divya’s roles, which song impressed Rishi Kapoor very much etc. GOLDEN CLASSICS – DEEWANA is simply unmissable!
