Synopsis
KHUDA GAWAH seemed more like a Clash of the Titans as it featured the larger-than-life persona of Amitabh Bachchan with the ruling empress Sridevi. And to sign Sri for the movie, the Big B along with the producers had to make several concessions including offering her a double role in a Bachchan-led film! But it was all worth it as both Bachchan and Sri created pure celluloid magic against the backdrop of the rugged and mountainous terrain of Afghanistan. Being the 3rd highest grosser of 1992, KHUDA GAWAH was shot on a lavish scale by director Mukul Anand and was the first Indian film to use Surround sound, thus enhancing the overall production value of the film. Besides the lead pair and the stellar supporting cast, KHUDA GAWAH also boasts of beautiful songs penned by Anand Bakshi and the fantastic music by Laxmikant Pyarelal who have very effectively given each song an Afghan-Pashto twist. Episode 12 of GOLDEN CLASSICS re-visits KHUDA GAWAH, highlighting its storyline, the interesting incidents behind its making, amusing trivia and of course, the review of each song which has actually become the USP of GOLDEN CLASSICS. And all this along with the audio-visual clips of your favourite scenes and songs thus elevating your overall nostalgic experience. A not-to-be-missed Episode at all!
